Hi Dave! Absolutely fabulous pictures. You also provided some of the best music on the cruise. I wish everyone could have heard you play! You are a great musician. You sure honor Tommy with your exquisite renditions of his songs and your own compositions are just wonderful. It is so much fun to continue to share the wonderful experience of seeing and hearing Tommy on the cruise. Let's all do it again! Anne with the Koa. ;-)

Great pictures! It looks like we experienced all of the same things. Are you the guy that had the Maton? I talked to you at the workshop. Do you live in Denver? The picture from dinner with the people waving their napkins around. I am sitting at the next table. The blonde in the white jacket is my wife Nancy.

Tommy runs the treble, bass and mic full on his guitar. He runs the piezo at 1/2. He controls his overall volume from the Alesis. He makes minor adjustments on the guitar while playing. He likes a really hot signal. It sounds great but stays on the verge of feeding back.

I've played a couple of gigs since coming back from the cruise. The Maton sounds better after using Tommy's settings. I run the guitar through a Roland AC60. I also use a KRK 10" powered sub woofer that plugs into the back of the Roland. I run a Byer Dynamic microphone through the Roland also. It sounds like a big PA in a reasonably small setting. If playing a bigger room I run a line out of the back of the Roland into a PA.

I Thought the cruise was a lot of fun. However, I would of liked more Tommy and less Troubadours. Normally in a concert setting, Tommy will play for two hours or more. He never really had the opportunity to whip the crowd into a frenzy like he does at a solo show. Edgar and I are close friends. I may be biased but I thought Edgar did a great job. The audience seemed to really like him. I know he sold out of all of his CD's and DVD's. The Troubadours were entertaining but I guess I'm just a guitar nut.

E-mail me your address and I'll send you some of my music if you like. I'll also send some of my pics from the cruise. I am mainly an electric guitarist here in Oklahoma City. I play every Wednesday night at a local blues club. For over 30 years I played around Oklahoma and Texas. I had a great band called "Sailor". I retired from the band three years ago. Now I play an occasional solo gig on my Maton. After leaving the band I saw Tommy for the first time. I was inspired to learn fingerstyle. I now play about 20 of his arrangements plus I've written a few instrumentals of my own. I also play all of the songs I used to play with the band. It is a real challenge to try and hold some of the tunes together without a band.

Nice talking to you. I have a tendency to ramble when I talk about something I am so passionate about. Tommy has a tremendous following here in Oklahoma City.
