The Point is a famous vista on the edge of Island in the Sky mesa. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
The trail follows the edge of the mesa, along a narrow finger of land, to one of the most incredible viewpoints in the world. The mesa falls away from the point, allowing spectacular views in every direction. The point extends out from the mesa, with sheer cliffs on three sides. But the trail is broad and easy, offering secure footing. The road you see skirting the canyons is 100 miles in length through the park for 4 wheel drive vehicles or mountain bikes.
