Start of the annual trail ride from Asotin Washington State to Joseph, Oregon State. A trip of about 100 miles cross country along the sides of Hells Canyon. The riders take off early to beat the heat. 117 horses started this day and 80 some finished. Temperatures were well up into the 100's.
