This was the first time we could see the first snow of the season on "our" mountain. The clouds finally lifted enough to get a view of the entire mountain. This shot is zoomed in to show the filtered sunlight glinting off the higher reaches. The place I shot this picture is 21.5 miles "as the crow flies" to the horizon in the center of the picture. In the next gallery "Moods of Mt.Hood" you can see another shot same time but zoomed out to show all the mountain.
