These were custom made from 2" diameter round stock using both our lathe and our mill. If I'd had a shorter tool holder on hand, we could have made these complete in the lathe. For a small order it's hard to justify a tool that costs more than your profit. My point is that for a large order of these...say 100 or more we would tool the lathe and use just one machine. This part was made from round stock but could be made from square.
