I took at least a hundred shots of Mt Cook from the pasture beside the farm where we stayed on Lake Pukaki. This is one of my favorites showing the mountain wave in the departing storm clouds. The wind was blowing directly at me at a measured 40kph so even with the camera mounted on a tripod there were very few really good shots even though God had presented me with a fabulous sunrise. This picture was about a half hour before the sun made it to where I was standing.
