This is actually a well that wasn't quite hot enough. The colors of the domes are natural and are created by the differing temperatures of water and algae. These shots were all taken on a cold (17F), clear morning (sunrise).
These are some of the best photos of Fly that I've seen. Congratulations on capturing the rare beauty of the area.

I just want to thank you for posting these stunning photos. I, too would love to be able
to visit this place but because it's someone's personal property, and I'm sure they are
constantly bombarded by visitors wanting the same thing, I'm happy to view the photos taken
by others. Maybe in the future this place will be open for public viewing and then we can
all go and see this amazing natural phenomena in person. I just hope the property never ends up in the hands of some private developer.
These really are lovely photos. Thank you again.

Thanks

I have enjoyed all the imagery on the fly geyser's. I am a photographer based out of Denver and am planning a trip to nevada and southern california. I am aware that the geyser is on private property and am sure that many people come to photograph the site, however, I wish to contact the property owner to try an obtain permission. If you have any information that would be helpful I would greatly appreciate it.
