Santa Maria in Aracoeli

Plain exterior, ornate interior.
Best known for the steep 122 steps required to access the entryway.
The most faithful climb these steps on their knees.
When we entered the church, it was being set up for a televised Christmas concert.
We got to hear a bit of the music being rehearsed. Magnificent.
