Kilmainham Gaol

Kilmainham Gaol was a British prison that served a major role in the various Irish uprisings in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. It came under the authority of the Irish Free State in the early 1920s until it was closed in 1924. It's now a museum.

Very interesting place to visit and photograph. I wouldn't want to live there though! Enjoyed the tour.
