Ketchikan is the rain and salmon capitol of the world. It poured during the morning, but cleared up quite nicely as the day progressed.
We started out taking in the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show which pitted two teams of lumberjacks against each other. It was largely played for laughs, but still a lot of fun. Best of all, we got to watch from a sheltered bleacher section while the lumberjacks got soaked.
After that, we took a bus and boat tour that included Saxman Village, a collection of totem poles; an old retired fish cannery, and a boat ride back to the waterfront. Very fun.
