Impressive gran plaza (zocalo) on the ruins of the Aztecs which inherited its name to all main plazas of Latin America. On one side there is the largest cathedral in Latin America and on the other the palace of the government. Streets are full of colourful crowds of bargaining people, at times disturbed by the green and white beatle cabs. We recommend dos equis (XX) beers at one of the terraces overlooking the zocalo.
