Kharri Shareef

Kharri Shareef is a an area south of Mirpur and known for the famous shrine of Baba Pir-e-Shah Ghazi or 'Damrian Wali Sarkar'. The place acts as a great seat of learning for students of Islam. Darvishs (disciples) of the Saint can be seen today wandering in AJK and Pakistan. The shrine of the poet Mian Mohammed Baksh is also located here. He who wrote the famous tale Saif-ul-Muluk which tells of a Prince who fell in love with a fairy called Badi Jamal who he saw in a dream. The story chronicals his travels in search of the fairy and the spiritual lessons he learns on the way. Find it on Google Earth (you must have Google Earth installed)

As part of my project of visiting shrines all over Pakistan to take photographs and fill in a small Questionnaire, I visit Khari Sharif on March 23 and been to both Hazrat Pira Shah as well as Hazrat Mian Muhammad Baksh's shrines. Amazing working has been done by the department. Earlier I had visited Khari Sharif in 2004. Beautifully done mosque and the tombs of both saints.

I have been a big fan of Hazrat Mian Muhammed Baksh Sahib, In Kashmir, we believe that Mian sahib'S kalam was completely Pahari Kalam not Punjabi, because He him self belonged to this state and his language was pure Puthuhari Punjabi, we consider his work as an assest to the Pahari language and even the Govt, has lso considered it to be the part of Pahari kalam.. I have been reading Saif ul Malook for last 20 years and now I am working on this book as a Nassar sory and it will come soon in the market Insha Allah.. I need some potriates of Mian Sahib for this book.

Mirpur is a beautiful area to visit and also the land of great People like Baba Peeray Shah Ghazi and Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bhaksh. I always go to Khari Sharif Darbar whenever I visit Mirpur because I am a great fan of Romiay Kashmir Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bhaksh.

I think we all must profile in a positive way AJK/Pakistan so called our homelands. At the grasss root local people are honest and they need to be empowered to make a change for the better. Our places should be a hub for tourism at a international level. I am willing and able to give some of my time in voluntary capacity to work with local NGO.

salaam to all kashmiris whereever they are, last time when one of the leader of AK came to UK in his speech he said that when he was in government they managed to send about 1500 people abroad to work, what a shame, what he should have and done his that they have created 1500 jobs in AK , and should have asked people to think of going back to AK and their government will do utmost to help them settle , instead of trying to throw them out , i dont understand why pakistani and kashmiri politicians roaming in UK streets, no other country's politicians roam in UK streets as these, pls do not give money to these rogue politicians they live luxuries lives there do nothing for us we and our coming generation have lost our country because of these politicians,

As you can see they are doing a lot of reconstruction work going on. They have demolished the Roza mubarak which is going top be built alongside the Shrine of Mian Mohammed Baksh. The plan shows how the Darbar is going to look when finished.
