This is my third land gallery. Having developed an attitude that land photography must be simple compared with underwater photography, I was surprised by how difficult it actually is. Underwater, you have almost total control of the lighting with your strobes. In nature, the wildlife is active during sunset and and twilight hours, making the lighting of your subjects never more than barely adequate. The subjects are frequently at great distance (especially the wolves), and tend to increase that distance as quickly as possible.
