The moose population has been hard hit by ticks in recent years. As always, global warming is the reputed cause. Northern NH, near the border with Quebec.

A great sighting and shot Hal. He does look very young. (We, too, have way too many ticks - I cannot catch a rabbit or deer without seeing them.)
