This is a beautiful park set on a bluff above the Holyoke Dam on the Connecticut River. Inwards of the park lie a couple of condiminium complexes and then the city itself. Unfortunately, the city seems to have abandoned all but the most basic maintenance of the park, and as a result wild Sycamore trees have grown up to obscure all but glimpses of the water. The Bocci Court, dedicated only 14 years ago, is now overrun with weeds. It is a shame. Still one of my favorite places to sit in the shade at midday to eat and contemplate.
