Day 8: Oct 5, 2011 - Occupy Wall Street March to Foley Square - Signage

Signs everywhere, indicating a broadly felt democratic uprising against Corporate and Wall Street dominance of the political system and resultant economic malaise.

These were shot with the Series E 50mm f/1.8 AI-S lens. Please ignore the 100mm readout in photo specs...I forgot to change the camera's manual lens selection so it thought I still had the 100mm lens on the camera.

The richest 15% pay 85% of the taxes in the U.S. The top 1% pay 30% of the taxes in the U.S. Even if you taxed millionaires income at 100% it would raise revenues by $900 billion. Obama's yearly deficit spending in in excess of $1.7 trillion. Go ahead, eat the rich, but you will still be almost a trillion dollars in debt ANNUALLY.
