This was a US Govt surplus camera ... from its condition I suspect it got very little use. It takes beautiful pictures which translate into 6mp or 10mp NEFs or 6mp JPEGs. I've done comparative shooting vs a D300 and it is hard to tell the final output apart. Plus it handles superbly and has a bright, big viewfinder...extra easy to use if you like manual-focus lenses.
