Mateo has been living in Southeast Asia since 2019, coaching and playing golf. In addition to his life in golf, he is also a small business developer, professional photographer, artist, English coach, writer, amateur linguist and online culinary arts educator/entertainer broadcasting weekly cooking shows on several online video hosting platforms. He routinely volunteers his time coaching-mentoring students and underprivileged children in golf fundamentals.

FUTURE PLANS

Mateo is currenlty training to qualify for the Senior Japan Asia PGA Tour for play in the 2024 season. He plans to relocate to Okinawa Japan in 2023 to open a boutique homestay and enjoy his golden years in semi-retirement while continuing his passion for playing competitive tournament golf events.

PERSONAL

Mateo is a divorced father of two adult sons in USA. In his spare time, he enjoys writing/performing stand-up comedy, yoga, meditation, singing & playing live music, fishing, urban farming and collecting rare books and antiques. He is a staunch advocate/lobbyist for healthcare and support of disabled military veterans worldwide.
