Mother and baby well after Phnom Penh street birth

A mother and baby are reported to be safe and well after the mother gave birth alone on a Phnom Penh street at 4.30 am.

The incident took place at 4.30 am on April 17, 2024 on the expressway in Khve village Sangkat Trapeang Krasaing, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.

Luckily, an ambulance was quickly summoned and took them to Pochentong Referral Hospital where the pair received medical help and comfort.

After seeing the circumstances of the mother the 711 emergency team, the Pochentong Referral team, the staff of the expressway company donated clothes and some money.
