CA correction with Super Zoom cameras

The new Olympus SP-550 and most other Super Zoom Cameras show some Chromatic Abberation at both ends of the zoom range. If nescessary, this can be corrected with a centered radial shift of the green content of the image. The correction is done with Panorama Tools, a freeware plugin for Photoshop, Paintshop, Irfanview and others. The correction is real and efficient; Olympus should have implemented it with the firmware, like Panasonic does. Depending of the zoom setting, the radial shift correction value of the colour GREEN varies between 0.9991 (wide end) to 1.0019 (tele end).

As opposed to Panorama Tools, tools designed for PF (purple fringing) removal do not address the origin of the CA error.
