Very nice work. People who have only taken static pix of birds in trees may not appreciate how hard it is to achieve this level of quality with fast-moving subjects. You have to anticipate so much, and your guesses have to be right. No time for finite adjustments, and no do-overs.

what a great collection! thank you so much for sharing. i've seen several turkey vultures in the birmingham area lately. they are so commanding in the air with their incredible wingspan. i'd love to see some of them captured on film! thanks again.

Nice gallery. Birds in flight are so graceful and quite the challenge too. I've been fortunate to capture the American Kestrel and some other birds in flight including the Northern Gannet from a recent trip.

i once sat for an hour waiting for two storks to leave their nest--- just so i could get them in flight-- and once they moved-- i still was not able to capture it the way i would have wanted to--- i admire your patience and your work... very peaceful gallery!!

My favorite bird in flight is the marbled godwit, followed by ibis, two pictures I am still trying to get!
