Wildlife in Lone Elk Park

Lone Elk is located in St. Louis County Missouri. The bison live in one half, but the visitors can drive through the area as long as they stay in their cars. The other half of the park has picnic areas, hikeing trails, parking and rest areas. This half also has elk, which have free reign. Visitors respect them and allow safe distance while enoying the forest, hills and play areas. Many smaller critters, such as wild turkeys and other birds, roam the entire park.
