Amazing shot - I can feel both the absolute silence of the lake, and yet the excitement of the rising sun!

Hi David, thanks for your comment.

No, I never used flash in my landscape photos. The leaves look green and bright is mainly because of the season. The leaves were fresh new, soft and delicate at this time of the year. Come back one month later, you would see deep green leaves.

As for the other two images taken at Lake of two rivers, I used 3 stop soft plus 2 stop hard ND grad, total 5 stop nd grad to hold back the brightness of sky and background, thus brightened foreground, of course, leaves themselves were under sunshine.

Thanks,
Henry

Superb image ... like the others from this trip and also last year's images from Two Rivers. One question - did you use a flash to light up the green on the bottom left of this photo? Just out of interest. Again - fantastic work.

Nicely composed, technically impeccable image, taking good advantage of the setting's beauty ..
