Our private Sphinx.
A typical cat: who owns who? You loved her or you hated her, and even when you hated her you would still love her.
When she was inside; she wanted to go out. When she was outside; she wanted to come in.
One of the most stupid habits: leaving the house from the front door, showing up 30 seconds later at the back door - insisting on coming in again.
She went by many names:
Socky, Sockelke, Suckske, 't Suckelke, Socke, de Barones (The Baroness), de theemuts (The Tea-cosy),
't Maedje (Limburgs for 'little girl'), Mien Maedje ('My little girl'), mijn (kleine) poppetje
(my (little) doll), het kreng (the wretch), het konijn (the rabbit), die Bestie (German for 'the
beast'), die Mieze (Popular German for 'the cat'), de trut (the frump), de Miemousj (untranslatable), El Pussycato (the pussycat).
She passed away on Sunday July 24, 2011.
Socks now lives in our memories and holds a firm place in our hearts.
