Plate I - Orion - nebulae / star clusters 4

NGC 1633 (Herschel designation III.952) and NGC 1634 (Herschel designation III.953) were discovered by William Herschel on December 12, 1798.
However, the position on the map is wrong. The nebulae are actually ca. 9 minutes to the west (just outside the map).

NGC 1647 (Herschel designation VIII.8) was discovered by William Herschel on February 15, 1784.

NGC 1662 (Herschel designation VII.1) was discovered by William Herschel on January 18, 1784.
