This is the 'field edition' of the Atlas Coeli.
It is smaller than the coloured edition.
To aid nighttime observing the stars show white on a black background.
There was also a 'desk edition' showing black stars on a white background.

This copy was owned by Frits Mennen (1947-2023) and a gift from his family.
Frits bought his copy in 1969 from Polaris, Bovenkerkerkade 63 in Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
