Had a date with Wicked.
We have this showdown-ritual every time we meet at the lake.
As soon as we’ve spotted each other we take our positions. Wicked goes down, belly in sand,
into a starting position. At first I pretend I haven’t seen him.
Then I stand and stare without moving, like you see in the photo. This can take a while.
Our humans watch and wait. Tension is building up.
Then we slowly walk up to each other, careful and still staring
(too bad we can’t have music with this, something by Ennio Morricone would do fine...).
Before long we come to a point where one of us can’t hold in anymore and we break into a run.
This mad run concludes our starting ritual.
Pretty good, huh?
