Analyzing Anna

I ran into this tall dark stranger. It happened at the lake.
It was very unexpected. From a distance I saw him walking on the beach and
I knew he was my kind of dog. I ran closer, then I stopped and watched.
I admired his handsome frame. My heart started beating faster.
He was a strong lean dog. Good nose. Great behind. Bit of an attitude.

I walked up to him. “Where you’re from?”, I asked in dog Spanish.
He looked back at me with a smile. “Salamanca”, he said. “But that was long ago”.
“I’m from Sevilla”, I said. “How did you come up here?”.
“I flew in”, he said. “They put me on a plane. How ‘bout you?”
“In a van. With many other Galgo’s”. Long trip. Long story”
We sniffed and looked. I liked what I saw. A lot.
“Hey”, I whispered, “would you….”
