A good vacation is more than that. It creates memories that last a long time.
Like my summer vacation in France. July seems long ago now, but the memories are still strong.
One day I stayed in an old French oceanside hotel in St. Aubin sur Mer with my humans.
We walked on the beaches and the boulevard. Then we all went to sleep.
Next morning my human woke me up early. “Rise and shine Anna”, sun is out!”, he said
and opened the window. I yawned and stretched, then I looked out. I sniffed up the ocean air.
It was salty. I heard seagulls. Saw a white poodle down on the boulevard
and a beagle on the beach in the distance. I just stood there for a long while, watching.
Everything seemed totally okay. Then we all had breakfast.
It’s one of my favorite holiday memories.
