Islands seem to have more communication with God than other places.
Isolation and religion must be connected somehow.
For a small island Belle-Īle has big churches.
And also many outdoor crosses and other symbols, some of them ancient.
This old iron trailside cross has a sign that says:
"Arrete-toi, comtemple Dieu est la" (stop and be aware that God is here)...
