How’s it going? Not much happening here.
The January winter cold has come and gone with just a few flurries, nothing more.
What ever happened to Dutch winters with ice skaters on our lake,
and inches of snow on the sidewalks and a big fire to keep the house warm?
It’s been too warm for years in a row. Is it the climate that’s changing?
Is this what humans call ‘global warming’?
It worries me. There are predictions most of The Netherlands will disappear into the water
when the level of the North Sea starts to rise. Most of my country is already under sea level,
and there’s only so much the big dikes can take…
Maybe we should move to a place in the mountains. The Ardennes in Belgium maybe,
or the Alps in France, or Mount Rainier, or Half Dome or Denali.
