Joop's Dog Log - Wednesday June 30

I love bridges.
Show me a bridge and I'll cross it. Several times back and forth if I can.
It feels great to cross a river or a canal, it's exciting!
A bridge is a way out and a way in,
it brings the world over here together with the world over there.
I hope you're catching my drift.
Dutch humans are famous for their bridges.
They've been building them for many ages in our own little watery land and around the world.
This one here is pretty old, it's a country bridge north of my town,
over the river 'Reitdiep' near Wetsinge village.
Good place for a walk!

Hey, tonight is the next big soccer match, the Dutch against Portugal.
The winner goes to the final!

UPDATE: The Dutch lost 1-2. Portugal was better, no doubt about that. So the best team won.
That makes it easier for the orange fans, I hope. It hurts. Losing always hurts.
But I`m cool with this...

I`m pulling for yr orange guys, Joop. May they obliterate Portugal! I like bridges too. For me they`re a nice way to stay out of the water when yr going from point A to point B. Don't much like wet feet, myself.

Sorry my friend, although we love you very much, we will cheer to Portugal tonight... We are closely related, and besides, their coach is Brazilian, the same one that made us win the World Cup two years ago against Germany... Take care and good game for all of us!Oliver & Co.

Well, we`ll be sending the Dutch team our winning thoughts. I have a feeling some of those Dutch brides are really amazing mechanical and archetectural wonders.

I fear you will have to wear an orange shirt if the Dutch team wins the game (although I support them).
Thanks for your very kind visit. When we saw a black & white dog on the beach during our holidays (we know you live on another edge of your country) we always said to each other: "Look, a dog like Joop". But it was always a big too big, too small, too brown, too small ears and so on. There`s just one original Joop in the world...

Moin Joop, the winner goes to the final and you go to Norway. Well, I better say nothing more about this soccer-team of the Dutch, your human said it all before! Do you need a new coach? We have one ....so take it as real tough men - you will have no problem where to watch the final now.Got my new laptop yesterday....enjoy your free life, boys!

I love this shot. The technical aspects but more importantly what it says to me. The faithful dog running back to his owner.
