De Vliehors Expres bedrukt het strand met z'n banden en laat zo poëtische teksten achter.
De tekst op de foto was gekozen na een prijsvraag in 2005 getiteld Poëzie in het Zand:

The 'Vliehors Expres' travels across the beaches of Vlieland island and leaves poetic tire imprints.
The poem in the photo was chosen in a 2005 competition called Poetry in the Sand:

"Breng gedachten vol verlangen naar het lege stille strand
Schrijf ze duizend stille malen tussen duizend korrels zand"
("Bring longing thoughts to the quiet deserted beach
and write them a thousand times in the thousands of grains of sand")

It was written by Jan de Booys from Nijmegen.
