Best of Anna

Anna was a Galgo Espagnol mix, a Spanish greyhound. She was -probably- born in 2003 and died in 2017, al least 14 years old.
Like many other galgo's in southern Spain she was kicked out on the street. Humans found her and
brought her to a dog shelter north of Sevilla city: the 'Refugio Escuela de Sofia'
From there some of the galgo's are adopted in Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia and... The Netherlands,
Anna was selected to go there.
Her first temporary home was in Uden, where she stayed a few months.
We found Anna's photo and story on the website of 'Greyhounds Rescue Holland': www.greyhoundsrescue.nl
On the first day of October 2005 we brought Anna home.
She lived and traveled with us until her death in November 2017.

What a beautiful and happy dog. I have a rescue dog and she is almost identical. They are intelligent,gentle and very loving. Your photos are brilliant!

You have presented a wonderful gallery, full of the various expressions of Anna. Having had two greys and my son having two of his own, we have learned that they are the most lovable, peaceful and expressive Dogs that we know of. Thanks for saving Anna.

very beautiful dog! I heard the same unbelievable stories of abandoned bassett hounds a few years ago. This is outrageous. luckily for Anna - she has the time of her life with your family. Very fine shots.

Welcome, Anna! You are a real beauty! We all look forward to seeing and reading about your new adventures with Henk. I wish you could have met Joop, but he might have just thought you were competition for his cookies, so perhaps it is just as well that you have come at this time. Hint: Henk has lots of cookies, and you can get one if you help him with his photography. You'll need cookies, because he'll probably be taking you for long walks all around Paterswolde. You're very lucky to get out of that garbage dump, and especially lucky to come live with the Binnendijk family. Of course, they're very lucky also to share their mornings with such a lovely young lady! Good luck on this new chapter in your lives -- we want to see many photos of your adventures together! CJ

Hi Henk and welcome Anna!! I have just returned from holiday and have missed the introduction to your new dog. You will never forget Joop but Anna, although different, will be another wonderful canine companion. So nice to see you again on line. Chris and Max (a similarity, maybe??)
