Even without its voluminous ferry traffic the Bosphorus is one of the most heavily travelled waterways in the world. There are at least five ferries shown in this image, not counting the one on which the camera is traveling. The congestion is constant. The ferry on the right has just crossed in front of our vessel's bow, something the ferry on the left has done with the ferry on the right. And on, and on. Synchronized swimming, constantly improvised.
