The formal bedroom and original bed of Empress Joséphine de Beauharnais, first wife of Napoleon I,
is a luxurious presence inside of Château de Malmaison in Rueil-Malmaison, France. Malmaison was
formerly the residence of Joséphine. It was the headquarters of the French government from 1800
to 1802, and Napoleon's last residence in France at the end of the Hundred Days in 1815.
