Coit Tower stands above the homes and apartments lining Telegraph Hill in San Francisco in
this image taken from the corner of Greenwich and Leavenworth streets. The 210-foot tall tower
was built in 1933, after the death of Lillie Hitchcock Coit, with funds she left to San Francisco to
