German-American Day 10 August 2014.
G.A. Day is an annual event organized by the Wisconsin Federation of German-American Societies. It is held at Carl Schurz Park, Stone Bank, WI. All proceeds go to support the German school in Milwaukee to provide education about German language & culture on Saturdays. Carl Schurz park is a cooperative. All the labor is provided by members, who must provide at least 50 hours a year to the maintenance and operation of the park. My parents were charter members.
