From Tuesday (4/8) through Friday (4/11), two Buddhist monks will create a Sand Mandala at the historic Monte Cristo building in downtown Everett, WA. The monks are from the North American seat for the Dalai Lama, Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, NY. Mandalas draw their names from a Sanskrit word meaning "circle", which also translates to "house" or "palace".
