A very timely DC costume

This man is dressed up as the Reflecting Pool (with the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument on either end), which was damaged by a contractor in an exorbitantly expensive restoration job. Trump, however, insisted that vandals had cut the pool lining with a knife, even threatening a former Olympian with 10 years in prison for damage he didn’t cause. The court case was finally dropped but is brought to mind by the two dogs, one of whom is in prison garb, and the other with a knife in its mouth.

Taken at the annual Howl-o-Ween Dog Costume Contest in Lincoln Park. There were 125 entries to the competition this year, not surprising since Capitol Hill is a very dog-heavy neighborhood.
