Tim took this picture of an “America 250”-decorated cherry picker, operated by the US Park Service, in Lincoln Park during Queenie’s early morning walk. Later that day, I had to edit our community newsletter, which had a parody story about how Trump is planning to plate the emancipation statue of Abraham Lincoln in gold. I had to laugh when I saw the picture because it seemed to give some credence to the made-up tale. No idea what the cherry picker was really doing by the statue.
