The latest ‘monster’ display

My neighbor has harvested the gigantic squash plant https://pbase.com/helenpb/image/176432690 leaving a mess, and replaced it with sunflowers. I don’t know if he thinks this looks good, but it doesn’t, and it’s still hard for people to get out of their cars if they park next to it. He also insists on leaving his trash can on the sidewalk, which nobody else does until Monday, when the recycle people collect it.

Looks rather unsightly. Here, we have restrictions on when and how long our trash cans can be on the curb. Too bad he doesn't take more pride in his property.

Is this a squash, a bunch of zinnia plants or just what? What a strange planting for the middle of a city. The orange cone says, "use caution". If the veggies have been harvested, why not just remove the messy overgrowth, too?

Wow, this exceptional sunflower really knows how to reach for the sun instead of letting itself be stifled by whatever else might have been planted there. That cone looks familiar. It could have been your neighbor's witch's hat among his all-year-round Halloween decors.. ~VVVVV+~

Amazing scene the flowers are nice, but the area needs a little sprucing up.
I think the car has to move if someone has to get into the passenger seat.
