As part of the 250th anniversary celebrations, a large number of aircraft flew all over the capital region, including around Capitol Hill. It was a pretty noisy two days, but interesting to get a glimpse of fighter jets and other military aircraft. They were also quite hard to photograph since we could hear them coming but had no idea on which side of the house they’d pass, and once we caught sight of them, they were gone in a flash. Tim managed to get this one of a KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft in the early evening when a thunderstorm was threatening.
