‘Too hot to go anywhere’

Queenie usually loves to go for a car ride to the cleaners on Saturdays because they always give her lots of treats, but last weekend she refused to even go down the stairs to the car in the terrible heat and humidity we were experiencing.

Emma used to love perching like that and also sleeping at the top of the stairway. This is a wonderful shot of Queenie doing the same thing. ~BV~

I can totally relate to this expressive capture and Queenie's pose. I love the eye to eye contact and sense of alertness conveying a silent message of " don't even think about asking me to move." VV++

I bet she's really hot with that furry coat! I'm surprised she isn't hanging out inside with air conditioning.

Queenie is a smart dog, not moving is the best thing when it is so hot. Lovely shot, Helen. v

Sometimes it's best to take advice from your dog and know when to stay put.

Excellent image of a typical attitude during heatwaves... and I will be a bit like that with the excessive heat that will last in France...V.

She's absolutely right, the heat is exhausting.
