Memory of times gone by

This is one of many laminated pages of full-page features articles I wrote years ago for the Turkish Daily News, where I served as chief copy editor from 1997 to 2007, sent by my mother-in-law this week. I didn’t even know she had copies of the newspapers; I had thrown mine away a long time ago. It was pretty hard to photograph due to the size and plastic covering, but I finally managed to get this less-than-perfect partial shot and thought it would be fun to post it.

A very cool keepsake, and it looks to be a fascinating read.

What a wonderful memory. I had my first professionally published article mounted in plexiglass and hung it in my office for years. After that, I never thought to laminate anything - I probably should have. How lovely that your mother‑in‑law saved this for you.

What a wonderful memory! I've laminated articles too and am very happy to have done so. Newsprint is so fragile and non-archival.
