We were leaving a friend’s house in Alexandria, VA, after dinner and were walking to our car, when we noticed that Queenie wasn’t following us. Turned out she had planted herself at our friend’s doorstep and flatly refused to move. After trying to cajole her, we finally had to get her leash and put her into our car. She always accompanies us to dinner at his place, but he’s definitely not a person who would ever have a dog. Maybe she just liked the leftovers she got from our dinner.
