Not a good day for a walk

The city is replacing much of the sidewalk on our block after last year’s work on the water lines really messed it up. I could feel our front stairs shaking as this piece of equipment broke up the cement.

But hopefully it will be good for a walk after they've replaced the footpath.

Not fun at all. We will be soon be seeing water and sewer pipe replacement on our street from June to October. We already hear the noise from one block away, so I sympathise!

In addition to the vibrations, it must have been noisy.

Yikes, not a quiet day either.

Yes, that noise and vibration make you feel like you were having a heart attack. Hope it will be over soon. ~VVVV~

I'm sure it will be lovely when they finish. This reminds me of the streets in Asheville, which in spots are very uneven. Several years ago I tripped over a raised block of concrete and got a bad bruise on my knee. New is better than old and decripit.

Fix it now and it'll be done the rest of time...

Hopefully, they'll be done quickly!
