Astrodons

These long-necked dinosaurs used to roam what is now Washington, D.C., and Maryland. The models are made with tobacco leaves, peppercorns, star anise, acorn caps and Schima fruit.

Taken at the US Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display, this year titled ‘Season’s Greenings: Dino-Mite!’. Model trains run on several tracks around the exhibit area.

Love how all those natural elements are used in the creation of this dinosaur family.

Herbivores? They might have made short work of your garden.

A wonderful display to visit. I could say that there are still some
“dinosaurs “wandering around the capital building.
