This is the church on the extensive grounds of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America, where I took all the recent butterfly and skipper pictures (see the first five pictures at https://pbase.com/helenpb/insects ). It’s the best place I know in DC for such shots, when the insects are actually around. The past few years they were largely absent every time we visited.
