Kia Ora resort

A resort close to the airport. We must have stayed at least one more day and night on the main island after flying back from Moorea.

Is this another resort that no longer exists?

So much has changed. The view kind of looks like the Kia Ora on Moorea (that dates back to the '50's). I don't now see a hotel with this same name on the main island. But over more than 35 years a lot of change happens. Whatever. You certainly had a pretty view from your last day of your weeklong trip to Tahiti and Moorea. Hope you enjoyed the beach. A very nice memory to have.

Tahiti truly was one of the most beautiful, tropical places I've ever visited. This photo shows a hint of the unforgettable natural beauty that no camera can truly capture. However, my personal, favorite, real life memory from our 2 weeks still remains the black sand beach next to the Tahara'a and looking at Moorea across the bay. I actually enjoyed that more than even our time on Moorea.

If only we could turn the clock back and go back to how Tahiti once was before the current tourism boom. Thanks for doing this gallery. It brings back a lot of memories. Someday, I'll find where I've stored my own prints from our Tahitian honeymoon.
